Matthias Settele (54) is General Director of Markiza, the leading TV Group in Slovakia. Markiza operates four TV channels (Markiza, Doma, Dajto, Markiza International), one streaming service (Voyo) and several online and mobile offers. The Group belongs to CME, which is active in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania and Slovenia and was recently acquired by Czech investor PPF. Settele started his career 1991 in Austria as News journalist of public broadcaster ORF in its local studio in Vienna. He worked as executive assistant for Gerhard Zeiler at ORF and at RTL Television in Cologne. During his time at RTL Settele served as Executive VP for Business affairs Program and News. In 2007 Settele founded his company SetTele Entertainment in Vienna supporting TV Groups and producers as flying consultant and interim manager for Program and Production in more than 20 European markets, among them RTL Group, MTG, Turner and Time Warner.
